Swetha Tandri is a 17 year old high school junior based in Dallas, TX, USA. She is interested in combining STEM, arts, and tech to break down barriers in educational and socioeconomic inequity. As a member of her school's choral program, Swetha has received the Outstanding Performer Award from the Texas State Solo Competition and qualified for Texas All-State choir area auditions. In addition to singing, Swetha is a proficient writer, having been recognized by the United Nations, the Trust for Sustainable Living, and the Defiant Movement, and she currently writes for The Scientific Teen, the largest teen-run STEM magazine worldwide. She has competed and placed in hackathons and is a freelance web designer for student nonprofit organizations. Swetha is currently an AP scholar, and scored a 5 on 3 AP exams, including AP Calculus AB. She founded Melodies for Math to combine all her interests while helping students understand math in an easy and fun way.
